Familiar things are around you all the time. When your eyes no longer see, you grieve for all the beauty that you never had time to look at. When your world is silent, you miss the songs of the birds. The longing for a country walk in the fresh air when it is no longer possible. All the regrets which ‘might have been.’ This is why you should never keep postponing things you know you should do. Live life to the full each day and try to notice everything. To be observant is one of the gifts given to you and we show the greatest love for God by using them to the full.
Each day that dawns can show another miracle. Every season shows the glory of the Creator. When you see all the new life bursting forth in the spring, from the tiny ladybirds to the magnificent dragonfly, and the tiny lambs frolicking around their mothers. All life is new and clean ready to try a span on this earth. Some to stay, others just for the joy of being here for a fleeting moment, and with the flowers - tiny wild miniatures, to the most exotic blooms. There is another gift that you sometimes overlook – the love and devotion of your pets. This is a God-given gift that survives all the ups and downs of your daily lives.
All these blessings are given to you without any effort on your part. You do not have to earn them and no money is involved. Success does not come into this life based on material wealth, for your fortune is counted in friends and loved ones.
So look for the simple things in life and enjoy every minute. Never say a cup is’ half empty’ but that it is ‘half full.’ Do you appreciate the value of clear water or wait until you are dying of thirst, and do you have to fall to the floor to recognise the hand that is being offered? Are you waiting for the earth to crumble before helping to put it right?
You already know that there is too much negativity bringing darkness to the world. The only way to put things right is to show the light of salvation and spread it around the world. If it does not light a flame the first time, then keep trying until it blazes through the heavens and circles the world.
