Most of you in this time on Earth know the meaning of pain, but do you try to understand what it is all about? Cause and effect can sometimes be the answer, but not always the cure. Instinct keeps you safe from most of the obvious pain, that you refrain from putting your self in. We know the human body cannot touch fire without being burnt, and you know that your lungs cannot breath under water. You also realise from an early age you cannot cut yourself without feeling pain while you have a mortal body.
Sometimes you can break down and analyse the pain if you are concentrating your brain in another direction - in this way the pain can take secondary place. But if you concentrate on the point of your pain it can take over all other feelings and rule the whole of everything else. If you stick a pin in any part of your body and think of some thing else you will not feel it. Some of you are so hard concentrating on whatever you are doing, you can forget your body. How often do you forget your toes until you stub one, or your teeth until you get the agony of toothache?
Through many years of misuse, you find so many toxins in your body that you cannot clear, for like rust on steel there is too much erosion. When you arrive at this state and have to live in pain, only you and the Creator can help. Try not to let it take over your life, fill your brain with other things and other people, try to remember the parts of you body that do not give you pain.
As you open your eyes each day, say a prayer for each part that is working. Use your nerves to travel round your body as though to waken it. Make like a pilgrimage of thanks as you check each of your feet and hands. Take deep breaths to give your lungs a chance and look forward into the day. The night has gone taking all the pains and problems with it, and yesterday will never come back.
Look up to the light and reach for God's hand - he will guide you.
