Is Money the Root of all Evil?

These words were spoken many years ago, but has civilisation made them more noticeable in these days, when a great majority of us live in plenty?  But plenty of what?  Things that show the world we are more important because we own a bigger house and a larger car?  Do we see children happier in a big house with their own room full of gadgets, or a small house with brothers and sisters and home-made toys and games, full of imagination, and a home echoing with love and laughter?

Although, as we get older the future is more important than the past, but did we ever dream we would have to pay for a drink of water or to go to a church service?  It is hard to understand that freedom that cost so dearly in human life can be bartered enough to create our own prisons.

We seem to hear a lot about education, and I understand how important this can be, but there are many humans through the ages who did, and wrote, wonderful things, but had no certificates or papers to prove anything.  These were gifts from our great Creator, and were meant to benefit all the people on this planet.

One of the greatest things that is not valued in money is compassion, which seems very rare, but like the unconditional love we get from our great Creator, the more we give, the more we get.

This should be our weapons, our sword and our shield against depravation and violence, and our faith and hope for everything that is beautiful in this world.  Let people remember you with a warm smiles and a feeling of caring for others.

We are all as one, so treat others as you would like to be treated.  However small the circles you meet, leave them with hope in their hearts.  This is a charity that money cannot buy.  LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
