Unsurmountable Barriers
What a big word to spell, but how hard to climb. Are we capable or have we the will? How long and hard is the way back, and how and where do we find the strength?
The first thing is to make your own mind up, reach for the hands that are always there, close your eyes and find the spark of God’s love. It does not matter how small that’s in your deep inner self. You can climb mountains with your feet but success has a hollow ring if it doesn’t reflect the light that burns in your soul. You must realise that the barriers you face are inside you and you need spiritual help. This only needs one word in prayer but it must come from the heart.
Most barriers form from lost hopes, or promises forcedly given. But all these belong to our earthly life which has a time limit. How do we justify ourselves? With self pity? Or do we reach for a hand and struggle over these barriers?
Across the centuries the human race have always faced this problem. Many have won through to greater glory, but many just make themselves an even higher barrier. While you have the choice, use it. Give your better side a chance to prove how strong love is.
Faith and trust can always move mountains and miracles happen every minute. Look at the world with your heart full of love and compassion. Think of this time of year and the joy of giving, even if it is only a kind word or a smile, if it is sincere. Remember to reach for the hand.
