The Grace of God
Do we consider this to be just a word, or a girls name, or does it go deeper? We know it is the gift of life from God, our Heavenly Father, and however some of us try to hide it, some time in this lifetime it will come to the surface.
At this time of the year, in this year of so many wonderful inventions, when most of us are thinking of spending even far more than we have, it seems very strange that the world gets smaller and the need for charity gets larger.
How can we not stretch out a hand when children are falling from starvation and being so deprived of things that are in abundance in most parts of the world?
But then, are we ready for a miracle? Would we know how to accept it? With all the God-given gifts we have, the one we hide the most is compassion. So what if we get labelled as ‘do-gooder’ and ‘a soft touch?’ We must remember sometimes that the loudest shouts comes from the most ignorant minds who are not aware of God’s love, of all he created, and that we are mortal but our souls are immortal.
Judgement only comes from ourselves so look into your hearts to find the spark of love and by the GRACE OF GOD we may find salvation.
As we go forward to enjoy the Christmas time and resolve in the new year, try to change all the negative thoughts and deeds. Offer a prayer for the world and all humankind for peace and love so we will all live by the GRACE OF GOD.
