Do We Understand Forgiveness?

Do we understand what it means when we say this word and really feel it in our inner soul, or is it used in many ways – just a word to impress others?  This time of Lent is meant to give us a period of deep thought and six weeks of self assessment, for there are many things that are forgotten but not forgiven, and part of healing is talking to our God.  And remember those of us that find forgiveness must also seek it for others who are still searching for it.

Every bad thought, like the snake in the Garden of Eden, grows as it moves until it finds an outlet.  Every pain the body feels starts inside the brain and we ask “why do we have to suffer,” “why me?”  “what have I done to deserve this?” “who can I blame?”

But to accept pain and ask forgiveness is like throwing off all the weight of your soul destructiveness and bitterness so turn your heart to God or Jesus to take all the bitterness and fear away and truly be repentant.  Always remember, you are the only one that this can start from so take stock of your own life before checking on others.  And remember, all your kin are a mirror image of yourself.

This time of Lent gives us the time to purify our soul and detox our bodies.  We are allowed to come back and try to right the wrongs.  There are so many of us who blame our life-style, but remember – we designed it ourselves.  Like the poet said “we are captains of our soul.” We have a free mind.  Go into your own soul to start the great change, and like the flowers bursting from the earth, every one will see a new you, and you will see a better world.  Know like Jesus it will call for forgiveness for those who did you wrong.  GOD BLESS
