What is the Answer?
The question of course is what religion you follow? But the reply is then ‘what is religion?’
How do you believe all the different things you are told as you spend this term of human life? Does it depend on the locality of your birth or the colour of your skin, eyes, or hair?
As there is so much more education and the world gets smaller, look into your heart and find the Godly bit that comes from the Creator, for that is your spiritual soul which is immortal.
You will not find this answer in books, only in yourself when you are aware of your real self and learn to trust your own feelings. When you can strip away all the trappings and temptations of civilisation, bring out the best in others and try to learn humility and compassion, and the greatest gift of all – unconditional love – then you’ve found the answer.
Try to remember that peace starts with you, in your own heart. And when lighting a candle the prayer is for the world, and the light of the world is hope for the future.
