Does all the earth breathe a sigh of relief when we reach the end
of this month?
As we gaze out at the bleak landscape, do we think ‘how did the baby so glorified, in the past month survive with nothing but a loving father and mother?’ Did He know about the future and how the whole world would change? How can we possibly understand what the world was like then?
If Jesus came today would the same thing happen?
All of mankind have a part of the Creator in us. But as we grow into adulthood we seem to idealise all the materialistic things that civilisation is built on and feel that we cannot do without them. Although the comforts are not wrong in themselves, we must help others to attain the same. If we look the other way when we see beggars or drunks and addicts, how will we know when He comes? When Jesus or any of the masters walk the earth we are not looking in luxury homes, or fancy cars, or flashing money around. Jesus and his followers belong to the common people and be any creed or colour and speak in any or every tongue.
So always be ready and keep your inner self pure, for you won’t hear the sound of trumpets. It won’t be a big sign, just a small ripple, hardly disturbing the tide of humanity.
Try to keep the light in your heart, and the sanctuary of your inner self like a beacon to show all seekers of the truth. Remember, Jesus said “I am the Light and the way.”
