Chat or Serious Conversation?

Were the philosophers of long ago just chatting as modern day people do, or was there more force behind words spoken standing on a street corner?
When I walked the Earth as Plato, and looked at people to try to say of the truths as I had been told, there was no knowledge or book learning in the faces that surrounded me. When a question came from the darkness of their minds, it was as bright as a flaming arrow winging its way through all that shadows of a physical world.
I have walked that same dark world many times with different bodies but always with the same quest – to open up all those shadowy corners of the universe with just a glimmer of truth. But even with all these modern technicalities, there are so many human beings clinging to their cosy corner draped in shadows, for the truth in all its glory is such an awesome thing. Even though there is just one word of understanding that creeps into our dreams or thoughts it can grow as big as a tree if it finds a fertile spot.
But the human mind has no such time or inclination. To sit and think is tedious when, with a touch of switch, there is entertainment, or complete stupor that enables them to return back to the corner in the shadows. But if that seed of truth is allowed to germinate and grow there is no peaceful corner, for the glimmer of light has awakened the part of your brain that needs to find the answers, and all the reasons for life in the physical world. This is so fulfilling that it is impossible to look back and seek the shadows, for when just a small sliver of real truth creeps into your mind, the glory of all that is wonderful fills your whole life.
This awakens the sensitive spiritual side of those who think that there is more to life than just existing. So exists the Army of Light – all seeking the truth as each one of you asks the question “has the time come, have we reached through the shadows?”
Reading this might prompt a few of you to fit your footsteps in those of our great Creator and when united will bathe the whole world in an infinite light.
