Laughter and Tears

Peter (Fisher of men and women)

Every human visiting this earthly world is given the gift of senses –  one being humour.  And every parent can tell you with tears in their eyes, how they felt when the baby gives his first gurgle of laughter.  Of course sometimes like all thing it is misused in a way to hurt others when in mockery or derision – even in torture of the very soul.

But when used naturally and is denoting happiness coming from the heart and sounding like heavenly music, this is the real humour that bubbles deep inside and disperses all the worries and fears of physical life.  Sometimes for a fleeting moment you get this feeling of happiness, but it is very difficult to make it stay for long, for in the balance of this world and its progress everything has to be paid for.  This is why you find that tears are very close to laughter but the reaction, although only fleeting, stirs deep inside you to awake many things you stifle, the really simple things that are gifts.

If you smile at everyone and everything you are dubbed as ‘daft’ and put in your place.  I you wear a frown all others will avoid you.  But these are the ethics of civilisation, for the natural instinct is to trust and love, and that includes all things.  But this is an instinct you can only feel in the spiritual world for you are surrounded with unconditional love.

So when you have these fleeting moments of happiness with the awesome overwhelming feeling you will be seeing into the second universe and getting a little knowledge of some of the wonderful things before you, do not look on it like an omen, for it is one of the miracles of knowing two worlds.  Be thankful for the goodness of sincere laughter and listen for it on the wind and in the trees.
