Today

 

When you pray, pray as the same in meditation, and I do not mean when you go to your knees and bring out symbols or listen to others quoting prayers.  To really meditate is to go into your own inner self, stripped of all pretence.  You will find that it is not the future or the past that reigns supreme, but now, at this moment.

This is the most important form of relaxation.  Do not dwell on the pain you had a few moments ago, for that is past and gone.  Do not worry about the sleep you did not have, or how happy you were in other days, or alternately how sad.

You all worry about things you have left undone, and then again, how you should do them.  If you concentrate on each moment of time you will not have regrets, for you will be too busy keeping up with life and filling each moment.  If you study the masses of humanity you will understand, however vast their fame or fortune, time, as you know it in this world, wipes worry from your memory.

You will often hear people talking of their loved ones who have gone on before, and as the years pass they look at photos more often.  This does not mean to be hard, like an inanimate obstacle, for love is a wonderful thing, but you can always feel the strength of that love.  It is part of the make-up of your own life, and this is where you learnt self-discipline in your early years.

You should never worry for what tomorrow brings.  As this is the way of sliding back down the path.  Just trust in God that your strength and faith will always be with you and others will see that light shining in your eyes and feel the calmness that tells of the hope for tomorrow.  Only then will you feel the joy of Divine understanding.
