Living on Earth as humans you need to be reminded of special dates, but it is not the date that is important but what it means to each religion. Each generation has a special story about the crucifixion and all the leaders and teachers have tried to tell the moral, but there are many of you that can only think of Easter eggs and your gifts. Do you stop and think of all the gifts the Divine Creator gives you?
There is much excitement, and knowledgeable people will start thinking about the sacrifices, which in this world of plenty seems very inane and just a token.
We are not asking you to make sacrifices such as the Divine Creator made when He gave His only Son, for as you know, he came home to his Father but left the world his parables and miracles that will live for ever.
The message I am giving you, and Jesus gave you with his last breath, is forgiveness. Each one of you needs to practise this and you can stand back and think how many times you have wished harm by word or deed. So this is your lesson through Lent and, if you cannot remember, you may sit and write down all the times you send out bad thoughts. If you repent and ask forgiveness from the heart it will be done.
If you know anyone you have not spoken to for years, talk to them. It does not matter how it is received as long as you replace bad feelings with kind ones, for if they do not like it they can take on the burden but you will get rid of all negative feelings. Although you think this is a small thing, if everyone you spoke kindly to will also speak kind words to someone else, this, like a flower blowing in the wind and like music, will affect everybody.
This will be a repeat performance of the Good Friday story and the glorious Sunday when He rose again, for He will know that the world is still listening and learning about forgiveness. Also remember our greatest link with the Divine Creator is the Godliness within us. Please do not hide it from the world – humanity needs it. FORGIVE.
