Like the pilgrims of old, as we walk and climb the road of enlightenment, we must think of the reasons we have come to where we are. This is where we find our inner self and must put to rights all that we have found there! Only then can we start to feed from the light that guides us and talk to those who, by their experience and dedication, have the power to teach and guide us. This is the road that many tread but turn back as soon as they find an obstacle, turn away to other things or just do nothing.
Once you start listening to those who have walked before and will walk again by your side, letting them show you all the wonders of the Divine Creation, which you will learn to see when you have cleared the mind of all the dross of this material world.
Once you have learned to clear the mind of all the negative thoughts, start living and looking at all the beauty of the world around you, and in so doing bring in all the positive thoughts. Make sure there is only room for positive thoughts. Learn to trust, and in that trust find love for others, then your body becomes lighter, the road becomes smoother, and in this new-found happiness, you will climb the ladder to paradise.
From this position you will be able to see all the wonders of nature, the beauty of trees, animals and insects, the wondrous beauty of the stars in the sky, the moon and the sun as they shed their light on the waters of the ocean to illuminate the fish and birds on the surface. Watch as the rays go across the land throwing long shadows on trees that have stood for thousands of years. Hear all the sounds of the wildlife settling down to sleep, see the eyes of the wise old owl in the tree.
All this you will view through different eyes, all this, and more, because you have lighted that one small candle where it was dark.
